Despite being thrown a curve ball with the presence of movie tents on our normal lot, the March event was a great success. In typical Delta fashion, we quickly adapted to the situation and hosted the event on Lot B (the lot normally used for grid and paddock). Max Bales constructed a great course off the top of his head and the weather was absolutely perfect for the event.

There are a few things that still need editing, mainly in the Dual Entry area. However, that shouldn’t change the results.

Now that we have two events, you’ll see updates for the Solo Championship Series. Expect them this week: I’m having technical problems with the Axware membership file and should have them resolved soon.

With just two more points events in the 2010 season remaining, a few class championships remain open for the taking.
Terry Roshto has a chance of catching Bill Sims in Super Stock with good showings in the final two events. Joel Maese, Christopher Young and Walter Smith all have opportunties to catch current C Stock class leader Kenny Durapau. Ian Brook and Gregory Nunez are in a very close race for the B Street Prepared title with only two points separating the two. F125 is still up in the air with Shae Fogleman and Joe Ricard both competing for the title.
Drivers that still need at least one event to qualify for a class championship are: Bill Sims(SS), Terry Roshto(SS), Jimmy Jummonville(CS), Christopher Young (CS), Amber Dorsey (CS), Jack Heaton (DS), John Welty (FS), Jon Legrand (HS), Gregory Nunez (BSP), Ian Brook (BSP), Myles Johnson (XP), AJ Thurman (EP), Raghuan Madaweka (ST), Kerry Coughlin (STS), Justin Victor (SM), Shae Fogleman (F125), Joe Ricard (F125), AJ Thurman (FJA).
Secured championships are: Jeffrey Wetzel (BS) Alfred Yee (ESP), Darren Darby (CSP), Bruce Keller (STR), Blake Reed (STX), Lance Biles (SSM), Roberta Wetzel (BSL), Benson Young (X)

Note: these results are not official TLAC results. Those will be stated at the TLAC web site once the TLAC pointskeeper has completed them. This are semi-official Delta event results, posted about 40 minutes after the event. They have not been reviewed or audited yet, but we’ve thrown them up anyway. They look correct at first glance.

Thanks to everyone who made the trip out: it was a large event with 73 drivers with times. Feedback so far is the the LIVE TIMING function of the latest Axware worked quite well and was useful to those within reach of our WiFi network at Timing & Scoring.

Like many large corporations with complex accounting challenges, Delta Region SCCA has it’s own issues with numbers. Part of that is the lack of intelligent help (me), and part of it is the amazingly cumbersome method for tracking season points in Axware. So, after learning a few tricks and applying a couple hours of time (or 2 days), I’ve managed to fix almost all of the issues with our 2010 Points Series.
Like those big corporations restating their earnings as if to say a fiscal “oopsie”, Delta needs to restate the series points for a more accurate standing of the season. I decided it was better to do this now than later, as we are headed for 12-13 event season, and we’ve got 6 events in the books. Fixing all this has been… formidable, to say the least.

I’ve got the results for Event 6, but we’ve got a couple problems. The biggest of which is that we started the event as a 6-run single-day event and changed it to a 3+3 two course event (essentially, a 2-day event). You can’t change that Event Attribute after you start the event in Axware, so we have two separate sets of results at the moment. If fact, you can’t merge the two events either. That also screws up the points series, so I’m working on it. Until I get it all cleaned up, I’m showing the results as two separate events (6A and 6B). Since we made a course change at the half-way point, we’ve also changed how we dealt with the Dual Entry drivers (DE). I retroactively changed runs 4-5-6 of each “Day” to be under the respective DE driver, so the first three runs counted to the daily and weekend totals correctly. Normally we don’t handle DE this way, but it made it fair for a true 2-day result.
Morning Runs: Class, PAX, Raw, Summary, and Virtual
Afternoon Runs: Class, PAX, Raw, Summary, and Virtual
Combined Results: Class, PAX, Raw, Summary
(note: the combined results do not show all the individual runs of the morning and afternoon. Why, you ask? Because there was no way to combine them, so I created a new event and keyed in all the drivers and their best run. I’m OCD, but not OCD enough to type in 300 runs. 100 was plenty, thank you very much).
