We’ve changed over our email ListServ to a powerful web based tool from Constant Contact.com. It offers the flexibility we’ve been looking for while maintaining strong email privacy and anti-spam tools. Our previous system relied on locally installed management software, while Constant Contact is web-based. This de-centralizes our communications and, like Wordpress for our web site, allows Delta Officers the ability to generate emails from any computer. This speeds our message delivery, and keeps you up to date with what’s happening at Delta Region.

Powerful features include web-based subscription preferences, where a user can subscribe and unsubscribe quickly and permanently. We also have rules for bounce-control, so returned emails are properly handled. We can use web-based GUI tools for rich email creation, from simple announcements to attractive newsletters. Content management is easy: we can simply copy/paste from our web site so you get professional looking content delivery from your hard working volunteers at Delta Region.

We can also add web-based Online Surveys, which can greatly help us when we need membership voting or Board approvals. There’s also top-notch email tracking tools so we can deliver message more effectively.

By default, we’re building our lists with Delta’s monthly membership report from SCCA, and adding any email address entered into AXWARE or during Solo event registration. We’ll also include links from our web site to join in.
