Delta Solo Class Championship Series Update After Event #8

Things are looking great: thanks to Damon for the update. Eight events down, three to go. Delta’s TLAC is this weekend, and it counts in the Solo Championship Series. At this point, you need a total of 6 events by the end of the 11 event year to qualify for the Class Championship (see Rules here). If you currently have three events, you can still qualify for a Class Championship by attending the three remaining events. I’ve highlighted the drivers with at least 3 events in yellow. The Class Champion will be crowned at Delta’s Annual Awards Banquet in January.
Play by Play:
     Super Stock: looks like Delta Member Brian Harper already has this locked up. He’s got 6 events and more than a 36 point lead (the maximum difference that a driver can earn over 3 events: 12pts for 1st Place times 3 events, assume the other driver doesn’t earn anything with a DNS). Nobody else has 3 events anyway, so they can’t qualify for the Class Championship Series.

     A-Stock: this could go to any one of three drivers at this point: Ian Brook, Jeff Wetzell, and Marcos Zervigon all have three events and are only separated by a few points. It’s anyone’s race.

     A-Stock Ladies: Roberta Wetzel is all alone, and has 3 events. Three more and the ASL Class Championship is hers.

     B-Stock: Walter Smith and Roma Kent are in a tight race and it can go either way at this point.

     C-Stock: Tony Shepard has 5 events and only needs one more to clinch it.

     D-Stock: Brett Mount has 4 events and a lead over Eric Olmstead. Lots can change at this point.

     G-Stock: Beau and Warren Miguez both have 3 events and it can go either way.

     STS2: Kerry Coughlin has 3 events and just need to attend the remaining events to win a Class Championship.

     STX: Jack Heaton and Corey Tisdale are the only ones with enough events, but Jack is ahead in both score and number of events

     STU: Mike Van Etta and has 5 events and only needs one more to clinch it.

     ASP: Gerard Salles and John Hose both have 4 events and are close in score.

     BSP: Anything goes here: Bradley Fitzhenry, Rob Evans, Max Bales, Dustin Hamilton and Jeffrey Salles are within 17 points. This is one class to watch.

     CSP: Another close one: Darren Darby, Kenny Durapau, Mitchell Mark, and Eric Trigg are within 22 points. This is another class to watch.

     ESP: Charles Weiss has a commanding lead over Alfred Yee. Matt Ehrlich moved earlier this year.

     FSP: Jimmy Jumonville has 3 events but has switched to an Evo.

     XP: Already settled… Joe Ricard already has enough events and nobody else can catch him.

     CP: Sean Harriga has 4 events but we haven’t seen him lately.

     SM: too early to tell…Justin Victor, Bill Sims, Robert Dubois, Dean Gagnon, Lance Fitzhenry, Rodney Prejean and KaKit Ng are all on their way to having enough events.

     SM2: Robert Istre and Brad Guillot have had a season-long battle and are just 17 points apart.

     X-Class: Already settled Benson Young has enough events
