Delta Region SCCA Board/Membership Meeting Minutes

September 16, 2008 7:00 PM - Italian Pie, Slidell, LA

Event preparations:

•  
  1. In preparation for the September 21, 2008 drift event, the club needs someone to volunteer to handle concessions (purchase food, cook, run the concession stand during the event, etc).  Benson Young is going to contact the Drift Chair to handle this
  2. In preparation for the September 28, 2008 Solo event, all tasks are on schedule.  Roma Kent is handling concessions, the trailer will remain on site after the drift event, Brian Harper is running timing and scoring, Darren Darby is event chair, Justin Victor is worker chief, Bill Simms and Eric Trigg will handle tech inspections.  Multiple SSS will be on site.
  3. In preparation for the October 4/5, 2008 TLAC event, Darren Darby is working on catering for the party (Italian Pie is the first choice), Benson Young will handle the course maps, Brian Harper will handle timing and scoring (ensure Brian works the first heat to ensure T/S is working properly), Roma Kent will handle concessions, Darren Darby is event chair, Justin Victor is worker chief.  Hotel has been confirmed and the site is confirmed for both days’ events. All other tasks are being tracked via the event spreadsheet.

    1. The club needs to repair or purchase a new BBQ pit.  Roma is asking for something smaller than the current setup. 
    2. The club needs to repair or replace the ice chests.  The hinges are broken on both chests and they do not close properly.
    3. Ashley Harper is getting the club prices on bulk food products (hot dogs, hamburgers, buns)
