Another productive meeting for a busy club!
Old business:
1. New revised Bylaws are out to membership for approval.
There were no comments received from membership to any of the Board members. The Motion was made to leave the By laws as written and submit them to SCCA. 2nd was made and approved. Action closed.
2. Delta radio station not up and running yet. Up and running but requires some fine tuning.
3. Trailer wiring -Brian Harper and Eric Johansen will be the point of contact to wire up the Delta trailer for power that will facilitate easier power distribution for events.
May 3rd is another trailer maintenance day this will be accomplished then.
4. Safety stewards Benson and Mike P.
This action item of Benson and Mike to teach SSS is not feasible at this time. Action closed
5. Mike Poupart announced that there will be a charity event at No Problem Raceway Park April 12th. He asked if Delta Region SCCA would assist in managing the Paddock area for the entire day. 4 to 6 people are most likely required, the board will disseminate to the membership for volunteers. Signed up Joe Ricard, Darren Darby, Mitchell Mark, Benson and Christopher Young, Damon Cuccia, Mike and Patty Poupart. Matt Patterson for getting most of us organized.
This went very well and raised lots of money for Charity
6. The April event will be 13th at Zephyr stadium Kill the Rabbit IV. Successful event minimal issues that can be resolved through better communication of key event planners.
7. Sponsorship from local business is being organized by Darren Darby and Brian a proposal has been approved.
To date there are not any sponsors buying advertisement space. We will keep this as a regular topic to keep it on the minds of club members.
8. Site cleanup Zephyr. a) Mitchell Mark may have a contact in JP that can do it for free, b) rent a sweeper ourselves and do it, c) go out the Friday/Saturday before the event and do it ourselves. If you have any other suggestions, bring them up when this item is discussed. Resounding results. Nice job to Mitchell Mark.
9. We need to decide how many events we are having at Zephyr’s this year. Matt Patterson has the price breakdown (please include this on the agenda); we just need to guarantee a certain number of events to lock-in the discounts. April makes event #4. There was discussion of what price for odd numbers of events (5, 7, 9, 11) - I will have an answer by our meeting.
Here is what we have come up with for your scheduling needs:
0-4 Events for the year = $1000 per event day
6 events = $5000
8 events = $6500
10 events = $8000
12 events = $9000
Work with CENLA to promote our events in May and June (they have no events those months.) Delta will promote their events in July and August (both of them are night events)and we have no events those months.
Use the two days we save by not having July and August events for other events - a beginners/intermediate school in June and something later in the year - maybe a test and tune the day before TLAC
