There are tons of cool uses, but the conversion tools are pretty handy to the auto enthusiast (text messaging rates apply according to your wireless plan).
To convert KPH to MPH:
Text “100kph in mph” to “466453” and
you’ll get a text back with “100 kph = 62.1371192 mph”
To convert kilograms to pounds:
Text “50kg in lbs” to “466453” and
you’ll get a text back with “50 kilograms = 110.231131 pounds”
To Convert cubic centimeters to cubic inches:
Text “5732 cc in cubic inches” to “466453” and
you’ll get a text back with “5732 cc = 349.788101 cubic inches”
To convert spring rates from Metric to Imperial:
Text “12kg/mm in lb/in” to “466453” and
you’ll get a text back with “12 (kg / mm) = 671.968975 pound / in”
Having Google do your math for you isn’t limited to text messaging either. You can also put the expression in any Google search field in your browser, and Google Calculator will convert it for you.
