Class Results, Raw Results, Summary Results and PAX Results are up from the March 8, 2008 Solo.
There’s a few things we need to clean up (like all the DNS). Give us some time and we’ll have it all cleaned up. The PAX results are a bit off: Benson’s PAX should have been 1.000. I’m working on it.

Event Report:
NISMO Showdown
After being greeted by very nippy morning with temperatures in the 40s, the setup team got to work setting up a much complimented course. After some unfortunate delays from some political “leaders”, the course went hot, well sort of. First car out was Nancy Oden in her beautiful sunburst yellow first generation Miata. The street tires were screaming, but she laid down an impressive run. A few moments later Darren Darby displayed some automotive acrobatics with two spins in his first run. As the day heated up, so did the times. The fastest run in the first heat was laid down by Mr. Jeff Wetzel in his brand new Honda S2000CR, with a 56.224. Not far behind but on street tires was Kerry Coughlin with an amazing 56.391. The only other driver with a sub-57 second run was Robert Dubois in SM classed EVO. The afternoon brought a nice twist, running the course backwards! There was much discussion about this decision with many people opposing the initial announcement. However, after a few cars went out, everyone was clearly voting – GOOD IDEA!!. With the lot now warm and clean, drivers were pushing it harder and driving it faster. The afternoon’s fastest time was set by Kerry Coughlin squeezing out a 53.597 (did I mention he was on street tires?). He was followed by Jeff Wetzell and Benson Young with 53.959 and 53.981 respectively. Sub-55 second runs were run by Tony Shepard (CS Mazda MX5), Ken Orsheron (GS – Mini Cooper S) and Robert Dubois (SM Mistubishi EVO). Taking top honors for the day in PAX was Kerry Coughlin followed by Ken Osheron, Tony Shepard, Jeff Wetzel and Benson Young rounding out the top five. Class winner for the day were Brian Harper (SS), Jeff Wetzel (AS), Walter Smith (BS), Tony Shepard (CS), Ryan P (DS), Joe Oden (ES), David Ware (FS), Ken O (GS), Erik Johansen (HS), Bradley Fitzhenry (BSP), Matt Lawrence (CSP), John Colson (DSP), Matt Ehrlich (ESP, Joe Ricard (XP), Sean Harrigan (CP), Jason French (EP), Jamon Green (STS), Kerry Coughlin (STS2), Jack (STX), Henry Bell (STU), Robert Dubois (SM), Robert Istre (SM2), Roberta Wetzel (ASL), Nancy Oden (ESL), Linnea Perkins (STSL), and Benson Young (XLJ). Three new novices came out to enjoy the event with Chip Cailouet taking first in his supercharged 318ti, with Craig Slawson taking second in his 02 BMW M3, and Chris Faulkner closing out the novices. Tony Shepard brought a nice touch to the event through his commentary on the PA and, as usual, Roma kept us all in warm burgers and dogs. Special thanks goes out to Italian Pie for donating some delicious Lasagna to the event. Also, thanks to the hard work of Brian Harper, Brett, Joe Picard, Dustin Victor, Damon Cuccio, Jack and Benson Young for organizing and setting up another great event. I believe most drivers have no idea how much work is involved so everyone can have fun.
Overall it was an outstanding event where allot of people learned allot about their driving and the right line. Looking forward to next month’s event!!!
