Delta Region in SportsCar Magazine March 2008

    Delta was recognized for our contribution to the Navy Marine Corp Relief Society back in November. Proceeds from the event, along with a club donation, were made to Shirley Pechon at the event. Delta Region hosts an annual charity event to benefit the NMCRS as a thank-you for use of Belle Chasse Naval Air Station during the year as a Solo site. Charitable contributions from the club were put on hold after Katrina, but a return to the site and active participation allowed Delta to resume the tradition in 2007.
    Sydney Davis was kind enough to include our PR photo of Matt Patterson (sitting in his car …behind the check) in the SOWDIV column of SportsCar Magazine.

We also got a nice letter from Shirley recently, thanking us for our contribution. Apparently, she forgot about the fun-run I took her for, where she got to see the course out of the side windows. At least Matt got his picture in the magazine.
