The Delta Region has volunteered to supply workers for the Grid and Paddock areas during the Grand Bayou Charity Challenge, which benefits Unlocking Autism. We need roughly 6 people to volunteer to come out on Saturday, April 12th, and work these two areas. The main responsibility of these workers will be to ensure the safety of pedestrians in the paddock and grid areas, maintaining the real estate that has been guaranteed to certain organizations (basically, no one parks where they shouldn’t) and organizing the cars such that they are able to get to the grid on time.
The benefits of volunteering for these jobs is that you are granted free access to the event, free t-shirt from the event, and guaranteed up-close-and-personal contact with the cars and their drivers. You also have the satisfaction of knowing that you helped guarantee the success of a great event, which benefits a wonderful charity.
Although these volunteers will have some definite and important responsibilities, these are very fun positions to have! You are very involved with the drivers and their crew, and get to see every single race car at the race. Also, there is a great chance that we will be able to rotate the duties such that you will be able to watch some of the races.
Should you have any questions, need more information, or wish to volunteer, please contact Joe Ricard at any time.
I have included below links to the flyer and event schedule. Also, if you wish to register for the race, or become a sponsor, please visit www.mikepoupartmotorsports.com and click the appropriate links.
